Obituary for Richard F. Wohlers

Richard F. Wohlers, age 69, of Council Bluffs, passed away on October 21, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. 


Richard was born on April 8, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Fredric and Angela (Marchese) Wohlers. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. Richard married Michelle Ramet on July 22, 1978. He worked as an Operating Room Technician at Alvarado Hospital in San Diego, California and retired as a technician in September 2019. Richard was a member of Corpus Christi Queen of Apostles Church.


Richard was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Paulina Teresa Martinez-Wohlers; sister, Paula Tafoya; brother, Fredric Leon Wohlers Jr.


Survivors include his wife, Michelle Wohlers; 4 daughters, Bonnie and Edward Kalick of Council Bluffs; Katrina Wohlers of Omaha, NE.; Janette and Richard Buss of Fernley, NV,; Sandra Luhta of San Diego, CA.; 14 grandchildren; 1 ½ great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mary Ropchan of Orange, CA.; Kellie Wohlers of Billings, MT.; Tracy Silva of Phoenix, AZ.; Rebecca Reed of Billings, MT.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
